Pilgrim, our Demo Wally Nano Mark II at the Palma Boat Show! Feel free to drop by!!
Meanwhile in Palma our demo Pilgrim is prepared for the Palma Boat show! New coat of anti-fouling and everything polished and clean. Welcome on board during the show starting on friday!
Wally Nano 002 enjoyed a trip to the north of The Netherlands to spend a night in an oven at 80 degrees. Now she is extra hard and fit out starts tomorrow. It's a big trailer but complete carbon hull and alloy trailer together weigh approx 1100 kg so this set can go behind almost any car... maybe next time I use my 1964 Peugeot 404....
Meanwhile in Hong Kong... Tam Nguyen had to get Ah Wah to join his crew on Zephyr HKG 55 for the last day of racing. He has been taking care of the Hong Kong dragon fleet since decades. I first met him in Hong Kong in 1992! He only speaks chinese so there was no communication on board. Tam explained me that you do not need to communicate on board to win races....you need a Doomernik! Call us if you want to enjoy the same view on your competitors going downwind.
Today we infused Wally Nano hull number 003. It went smooth and was done in 50 minutes.
This is the infused carbon epoxy keel grid or 'spider' for Wally Nano 003. It's a shame it's under the floorboards in the cabin but we have decided to keep it like this so.... no bilge coat in this area....!
We are happy to anounce that NED 407 'Firefly' has been sold to a Japanese customer and will leave for Nishinomya Harbour in a few weeks.
Wally Nano MKII building number 002 just left the mould.
