Doomernik Dragons

Heritage Racer

The beautiful teak deck with mahogany cockpit is Doomernik Dragons’ calling card. The cockpit is built using a double-wall principle that gives the boat a very modern appearance. The form differentiates itself from the usual type of construction in terms of both rigidity and elegant design. All mahogany parts of the cockpit are epoxy glued using vacuum technology. The teak planks on the floor exude luxury. Teak strips are integrated into the edge of the cockpit. All custom made stainless steel fittings are ducted in the wooden deck to ensure a ‘flush’ finish. The layout using the Doomernik ‘Barney Post’ main traveller is meanwhile accepted as the best solution trimming the mainsail and at the same time allows the helmsman to sit where he, or she, should.

The spinnaker sheets cleats are in the corners of the cabin making sheeting very easy in all positions in the cockpit and still being able to cleat the sheet at all times. The ‘flush’ spinnaker hatch at the bow is a unique piece of craftsmanship in beautifully varnished mahogany.

By the way, varnishing… a Heritage Racer is finished with 12 layers of varnish.  In short: a Doomernik Dragon ‘turns heads’.
